Victoria Tawney, Owner - Meet our Stylists

Started at Victoria's 5th Avenue Salon: October 1992

Licensed in 1983 in the state of New York, Victoria has been building her career in the hair care industry for over 27 years. After almost ten years of working for others she was encouraged by her husband to open her own salon. In October of 1992 the doors of Hair Carvers were opened to the Apollo Beach community. Ten years later in 2002 the salon was doubled in size and remodeled to accommodate the growing number of satisfied guests. The expansion also allowed more job opportunities for stylists which aided Victoria in her goal of creating an efficient and desirable working environment.

As a stylist Victoria enjoys the artistry of multi-dimensional highlighting and color the most. Understanding the theory of color to create natural contrasts is important to her. She is also a very visual person and utilizes this skill to help her guests determine what color and cut best suits their face shape and features.

In recent years the salon has undergone alterations; the implementing of a level-based system for the benefit of stylists and guests alike, becoming Redken certified, and changing over the title of "Hair Carvers" for the current "Victoria's 5th Avenue Salon." Though the initial goals have broadened and many things have changed over the years Victoria's intentions have not. Her number one goal has always been the satisfaction of her guests and she prides herself on managing the most effectual, friendly, and successful salon in the Apollo Beach community.
